Results are listed alphabetically. There is no price ranking: prices in different currencies and bases (per class, per term, per year) are not comparable. Children’s and teen classes appear only when you choose a youth audience or open Children & Teens. Online programs are never counted as physically located in a state or city. Items marked Sponsored are paid placements; they never change recognition status, verification or order.

About actor training in Canada

How actor training is organised

In the programs researched, Canadian actor training spans university BFA degrees (University of Alberta, UBC), college diplomas (Studio 58 at Langara College), private conservatories (Canadian College of Performing Arts) and the National Theatre School of Canada, which runs separate English and French programs. Several programs are small cohorts with annual audition cycles.

Languages and auditions

Teaching languages. The National Theatre School offers English and French programs; the other programs researched are taught in English.

Admissions and auditions. Published processes typically require a prepared audition (commonly two monologues, sometimes a song or movement element) and often additional application materials; several schools hold audition rounds in late winter or spring with an online option for applicants outside the host city.
